Platinum-Plated Montblanc
I came across this pen and I really like the look of it. The website for Montblanc says that the pen is "platinum plated". Does that mean that the barrel of the pen is actually platinum?
Also, has anyone used this pen before? http://www.montblanc.com/shop/writin...pen-38237.aspx |

It is what it is, Platinum plated onto another metal. Not sure what type of metal they use under it. They do make solid gold and solid platinum pens, but they are more expensive than a Rolex!

I have a MB platinum FP. Gorgeous, but writes badly. Fail!
(Oh, and yes, this is after it came back from MB for a full service) J |

Was looking at similiar things. Reads as "platinum plated" just as in "gold plated" I believe. If it was solid platinum that would be a very good price.

Price the Danitrio pens. $25 is a bargain and they don't even have any platinum only a simple gold nib.

I have the ballpoint version (38248). At first it seemed underwhelming compared to some other pens, but upon use it seemed to liven up in hand at home and at work. I really like it now.
