1. i dont see a point whats the point of using 2 second hands and using the timers.
2. it wears out the power reserve |

Don't do that. Keeping the second hand continuous running will wear out the parts. Welcome to forum.

This was recently discussed, and I believe the concensus was that it is additional wear that is unnecessary.
I suppose that if one has poor eyesight that necessitates the use of the chronograph complication as a second hand---and doesn't mind paying extra for component replacements during RSC visits if the extra wear degrades any of the parts---then go for it. Welcome aboard! |

I've been wearing my new Daytona for a week now. The dial is comparatively "quiet" compared to other models and I've missed the date a couple times but that's IMO a small price to pay. I'm afraid it would drive me bonkers to have all those hands running continuously!

My large second hand is locked on 12.
Bo also advised that a moving large second hand may lead others to assume your very expensive Daytona is a fake.

Kevin,
first congrats on owning the Zenith Daytona! Very special watch, indeed. Now, you CAN let the chronograph hand run continously, but the chronograph was made to "time events" and not to be running 24 X 7. Letting the chronograph running continously would:
But it is advised to start the chronograph at least once a month and let it run some hours to keep the oiling of the mechanism flowing. Also, for all its worth, counterfeit Daytonas are often recognised by the chronograph hand running continously (since this hand actually acts as the second's hand for the MAIN watch on fakes).
