Beautiful patina
I have been a long time lurker, thought it would finally be time to join. I'm more into vintage, but this somewhat modern watch just calls to me. Something about the Ivory patina and perfect matching hands and dial on this 16800 made me have to buy it. So here it its, my new 16800, not quite vintage but theres just something about that ivory/creme patina.

Looks real nice.
Is that some dirt on the crystal at the 9 O'Clock marker?

The 16800 is a great watch. Sapphire crystal, quickset date feature and priced lower than the previous version 1680's.
I wear my 1680 during the week, and my 16800 with a leather strap on the weekends... Congrats..

I wonder what offers he got on ebay seeing as I bought it for 3200 I think he was unable to sell it because he had pawned it and didnt have enough to get it out of pawn. The crystal is actually melted from a piece of molten metal landing on it during welding.

Looks like I may have to sell this one already I went a little crazy this month and bought a 1680 with band and original dial, a 72 5513 from this forum and this 1680 last week. The wife says one of them has to go as 3 watches in a month is too excessive(her words) I think it will either be this one or the 1680 that goes seeing as they're both dates. Maybe I'll just keep them all. Anyone want a wife? Sorry no box and papers for the lady
