Who uses the extra features?

Just curious, who here uses the extra features included with your watch? For example:

Turning bezel to time things on a Sub
Diving with a Sub
Date on a Date watch
Day of the week on a day-date
Chronograph to time things on a Daytona
Rate ring to check mile time on a Daytona
2-time zone capability on an Explorer II
3-time-zone capability on a GMT II
Helium release valve on a SD
Wet suit extensions
Magnetic resistance on a Milgauss
Bling factor to impress people / dress up / etc (expensive feature!)

Personally, I don't like the idea of getting a watch with extra complication that I'd never use (especially the valve on the SD, it's another hole in the case to leak).

I really wish they'd make a cheaper version of the day-date, that's a feature I'd really like. Even if I could afford one, I probably wouldn't wear it because I'd be afraid it'd get stolen.

i've been thinking of getting an Explorer I, because that only tells the time, or maybe a Sub-ND for the extra bling (the Exp I is very plain) and because the timing ring is something I might actually use.

Although time and date are all that I really "need". I do find myself using the features of my GMT II C. For example I am using it for 24 hour time now.

This watch would have been nice to have when my wife was teaching English overseas a few years ago. I would have known quickly what time it was where she was at

I travel East Coast to West Coast and use the quickset hour hand of the GMT regularly, leaving the 24 hour hand on East Coast time.

I set my GMT to local and Korean time - I don't think I've ever used the date function. Never used the chrono on the Daytona since I'm too lazy to unscrew the pushers.

I chose the GMT II-c because it met all the feature requirements I needed; a date with a cyclops for my declining close-up vision, a bezel to quickly spin to another time zone when making frequent international calls, and the quick set hour hand for fairly frequent travel. And its a sweet looking watch, too!

Dual zone timing was one of the reasons I picked the Exp II.
The HEV is not another area for the watch to leek.

I use the date daily and have actually used the bezel to time someone who said something would be ready in 10 minutes.
I miss having an alarm.

That bright red 24 hr hand is essential for me....set to GMT it tells me instantly what time it is where my heart and home are.

Somewhere in the region of 40 time zone changes this year and
it is suprisingly easy to make mistakes when in multiple zones on the same trip. My Rollie is part of my travel support system I rely on it 100%

I use the two time zone capability on my Explorer II. Set it to the time zone of the next place I want to travel to...

The time and date is the only feature I've used on my sub. One of these days I will go scuba diving with it. Until than, swimming in the pool will have to do.

I would say that 99.99% of the SD owners will never have a use for the HEV, myself included. I do dive with it but no plans to go to 4000ft any time soon either. As far as the HEV being another hole to leak I would say that is not a concern since it is a one way valve for a gas plus the SD is one of the most waterproof watches ever made.

The bezel to time things like parking meters, and the date regularly.

I dive with my Sea Dweller, the date feature is very useful for me, and use the bezel for timing and reading a second time zone (time back home in UK)

I'm on holiday now but used to use the turning bezel of my Tag 2000 to time things when I was cooking. I'll be using Bluey's bezel this way as well.

I appreciate the bling factor on my YM SS Platty (don't know if anyone else does), I use the date function daily and I love it's water fording capability though I will never test it. The bezel is used to test less exotic things than the air in my tank. I have the premium features and I appreciate them on a frequent basis.

I travel extensively for work so the GMT 24 hour hand is a must. The bezel on the GMT and Tudor chrono are used often as a simple timer [appointments, parking meters, ect.]. The Tudor chrono function comes in hand to time the length of songs for our upcoming CD my band is recording as well as work related timing issues.

I use all the functions of my watch daily.
It seems I am always turning my bezel to time something.
I do dive with he watch, just not to 1000 feet.
