Turns out there are deep gouges in the case not visible in any of the auction photographs.

Wow that band is pretty much stretched out, and a bad case also, i would return it if possible. Best of luck mate.

Yes I wasn't expecting the links like this and the gouges on the crown guards, and also on the other side of the case, they are pretty deep.

Anyway the seller was quite apologetic and very reasonable in regard to the undisclosed circumstances.

That's great, those gouges will take quite a bit of polishing, possibly laser welding, quite costly. if just polished the case shape will be compromised, are you returning it ? keep us informed. ��
