Just hope he can enjoy that rubber when he gets it. But I think wearing it will make his blood boil...

For what it's worth, I had purchased a RubberB two piece strap from one of their retailers here in New York. The strap was attached by them and looked and felt very nice. However, the OEM clasp was not and could not be centered on my wrist.
Rather than reverse the strap, as that is awkward, I wore it that way for awhile.
But we OCDs can't do that. I got intouch with Everest and inquired about their strap. They told me that they had solved the centering problem with their strap and an aftermarket clasp, while waiting for their own clasp to be made in Europe to Rolex specs. I placed an order with them and I must say, their hearts are in the right place but their coordination is lacking.
All was resolved however and I received the package eventually.
The quality of the product is first rate and as I told them, those of us putting a first class strap on a 6 or 7 thousand dollar watch shouldn't fret the $135.00 price. But that's just me.

I have only positive things to say about Everest. The product is great. The price point is irrelevant to be honest. Everything in this particular market has massive mark up, and has been pointed out, Everest bands are much cheaper than competitors, and comparing like for like, a superior product.

I found their communication great. Im a satisfied customer. Just my two penneth....

Hey guys I have been sitting this one out, but I might want to at least step in and clear the air. Our customer that created this post is a great guy, the issue stems from our email system not being able to deliver an email to his. Long story short the transaction uses email confirmation to process credit cards. His email bounced back (which throws up a red flag in our system and does not process the order) and we did not even see the order until late Monday when our internal accountant noticed the transaction. Then, when we went to email him or reply to his email from our account it would not allow us, it just bounced back. Finally, we had to email him from our GMAIL accounts since he also did not have a phone number from the original order. To make the entire situation right, we went ahead and sent him a few unreleased colors and made it all happen in the end. Tim thanks again for your purchase, enjoy the GMT Ceramic band.

Tim is awesome and I appreciate the other guys explaining their experience with us. We are working our tails off to make everyone as happy as possible, but there have been a few bumps in the road. We have stock in now and again appreciate everyone supporting a couple of Rolex lovers make their dream a reality.

Thanks, TRF and its members,

Michael

So, these are fresh from the photographer. They have not been edited to show the coloring exactly (the orange came out lighter then it is). The last shot, the blue band, was specificially for the two tone sub. So>>>>thought we should see a wristie!

Love the red(?) one

Does anyone know if it would fit on the Tudor blackbay (22mm lugs)?

We are working on that only. It took us months to perfect this version and we felt that we did not want to move on to the DSSD until we had nailed the "20mm" sports collection. We are going to making one that takes the essence of the bracelet to the next level. The lug connection is very pronounced and we feel needs to be different then our current model. What is your opinion guys? FYI - we did not pick a single color. These were all requested by our customers.

Tudor black bay? what is the width of the lugs? Is it 21mm? Tudor has been coming out with non-standard dimensions. i.e. the 20020 is 21 mm.

How do you size the bands to fit a small wrist (6.25)? Is it possible to have the clasp line up in the center of my wrist? GMTII 16710 fyi.
Thanks

I believe the black bay has 22mm lugs.

Just read up and the bands only come in 20mm, so I've got my answer

Maybe in the future

Lebowski,

Good question, this is our biggest question to ask since the band does not have removable links like the oyster bracelet does. So, we decided to measure countless wrists and understand what makes a watch band comfortable. We learned that the watch band must create an oval shape. Here is a picture:

Simply with other watch bands this does not happen. The watch band does not create an oval around your wrist, so it is uncomfortable because it causes pressure in some areas and in other areas it does not. Additionally, we found that the average Rolex bracelet link amounts were 4 links on the 6 o'clock side and 5 on the 12 o'clock side. So, we made the strap 4.5 links long, allowing it to center on the average wrist. We tried it on tiny little women's wrists, and huge Ram's football player's wrists, (we live in STL). All groups who tried it on were able to find an incredibly comfortable location to wear the band. Most of our clients from the forum talk about how they were worried about a tiny wrist and they tried a competitors product, and found it lacking for comfort. We just worked around the issue entirely.

Hope that answers the question. There have been a few posts about the sizing of the band on smaller wrists on TRF. So far everyone really has found it to be comfortable at any size.

Thank you. That does answer my question. My concern was that with all of the removable links taken out on my oyster bracelet I'm at 5 on each side, and when worn the clasp sits unevenly. I'll have to pick up one of your bands and give it a try. I'm really liking the white, orange, and red versions. Would you happen to have a picture of a white band on a black insert 16710?

For the 16710 question, only have a black on black. No soda in the watch box. Here are some quick shots.

Yes we have the SD coming out also this coming week. We have them now in stock, but we are waiting on our web guy to update with the new images taken.

We are working pretty hard to get them up on the site, but we are really good at making watch bands...but we leave our website in the hands of other experts. Just call in and we can get one to you.

I have the GMT IIc and have about your same wrist size. I have 4 links on the 6 o'clock side and 5 links on the 12 side. I bought an aftermarket glidelock clasp, and with the glidelock mechanism at its shortest setting, the clasp sits just about right at the middle with the Everest bands.

Everest.... I love that new blue strap!

Did you ever consider a different shade, similar to the photo below? I saw somebody with a watch and it had a similar color band... it looked great!!

Colors are so hard, other then black or white. For example, we have really had both a hard time finding the right orange, and then portraying it in pictures. Obviously, we want to keep the essence of the Rolex watch, i.e. Blue band for the two tone blue. The blue you show is great, and if everyone one wants that blue I can do a limited run of 100 straps. I will say that the blue we choose matches the essence of the watch as we would think that Rolex would make.

The negative has always been what color's to choose. I have always been a grey fan. But, stangley after selling over a thousand straps, and listening to each customer's color requests - grey has never been requested. So, my wants have never been made whole. Also, what do you guys think about olive green? That was a inter-office choice also, but never requested.

Also, I wanted to thank the Moderator's and owner of TRF for not booting me off. I comment very infrequently since I am not trying to "break the rules." I know the forum is a place for Rolex fans and enthusiasts to learn about their watches and passions. I love our product, I love the watch it goes on, and I really cannot begin to thank those who have purchased it and praised our ideas! Thanks again for your support and questions.

Mike
