111 vs. 392 Quick!
I had my heart on a 312 initially because of the date, auto movement and sandwich dial. That was quickly written off due to the case size and my small wrist (6 in). On a suggestion, I ordered the 392.
Due to an accident, the AD actually sent out a 111. However, it appears that the luminor case does not appear as out of place as the 1950 case on the 312. I actually quite like it, although I have not worn the watch yet. I will be receiving the 392 in the following days to compare in person. In the mean time, which do you guys recommend that I keep? I know the 44mm will be easier to resell, although I don't plan on flipping it. The 392 is relatively new, so I don't know what the future resale value will be on those. |

Why bother abt resale value if youre not gonna flip. 111 is a keeper. And in panerai world, i think im safe to say That manuals are far superior than autos. And comes the time you have to sell your pam, 111 will hold its value better, remember, 2ndhand market price is based on how popular and how easy to sell your watch model is.
Congrats |

I say wait for the 392 and ask your AD to reserve the 111 for you. Try them both on wearing the clothes you normally wear (it will look radically different with a dress shirt or a polo...). Then choose the one that you like best
![]() Compared to say, a rolex, PAMs are meant to look "large" but this doesn't mean that everyone can wear a 47mm (and so on). Good luck and let us know what you took home with you when the time comes (and remember, a thread without pics is worthless ;) ![]()

Once you see the 392 in your hands I'm sure the decision on which to keep will be an easy one.

I know the "smaller" PAM's get no love, but I like the 392. It's 42mm and not exactly small. It is nice to have something that has value on the secondary market, but I wouldn't buy something just because it would be worth more if I sold it. Buy what you like, not what "conventional wisdom" says you should.
I have a 7" wrist and am comfortable with a 36mm Rolex up to a 45mm PO. The only one you have to please is yourself. Also I haven't seen any evidence that PAM manuals are better than their autos. |

I have a 6.5 inch wrist and I am waiting for my 392. I fits much better than the 44mm 1950 case if you like that design.

I prefer the 111...but as others have said, its really what YOU want that matters. Both are fine choices. Good luck.

I have a 44mm 176 (titanium) but I really like my 392 as well. So much so, in fact, that I ordered the new style brushed bracelet for it. I have the old style bracelet for my "little" 241 @ 40mm.
I like them all. What makes you happy is "right." |

I went for the 111. Very versatile watch, wears well and virtually any strap looks good! :)

Thanks guys
After read all the comments I love more tan before my PAM 111. A comment. A little more than two months that I have it and I use it every day with camel colored strap and this immaculate immaculate not signs of wear, as the first day. Is kangaroo leather? |

I like my Panerais clean and simple. 111 exemplifies that.

111 -- I can't at this point recommend a Panerai under 44mm.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the 392 is the 42 mm version of the 312 right?
I have 6.25 inch wrists, and I would guess the 111 is a much more comfortable fit on you. I would wait and try on the 392 - and then make up your mind. The 111 is a great watch, so its no lesser of a watch if it suits all your needs. Good luck.

111 is the classic panerai. as time goes on you'll find that having date or other complications just messes up the dial. and that a clean looking panerai is pure.

That's pretty much it. Other than the size, the main visual difference is that the 392 loses the '9' and in its place goes the seconds subdial (like a 233)
