Looking for my 2nd PAM input welcome!
Guys, the fever is back for a second Pam. I already own a 212 and now want to compliment it with more of a daily wearer. I am torn really between two watches. The 000 and the 112. I've always wanted a logo and the 112 only recently cropped up as a contender. I know the logo has the sausage dial like my 212, and the 112 has the sandwich dial and crystal caseback. I like both, the sausage and the sandwich equally. I think the sausage pops more, while the sandwich has that stealthy elegance. But I'm looking for daily wear go anywhere and I think both fit the bill. I'm extremely casual and only dress nicely when forced to by the wife.

Tony, you know I'm biased towards the 112 since I have one :) Love the open case back!

both are equally nice, but i have a slight preference for the sausage for luminors.
![]() EDIT: between a 000, 112 and 005, i'd go 005 (small seconds is nice to me). ![]() |

Thanks for the input guys. There is someone who will sell me one of the two at a good price but says he put it on a timer and thinks its due for a service. Walk away?

I'd go 112 personally...you don't have a sandwich dial and that's one of Panerai's trademarks. Good luck in the hunt. |

Yeah, passing on the one that needs service. Will wait it out. Still torn between these two babies.

112 or 000 would be great options... try and be a bit different than your current 212... maybe a Rad or PVD base would be nice.

I vote Painted 44mm Luminor Bettarini Case.
I vote Sandwich on any Radiomir! Can't explain it, just like it that way.

@Toulouse: What kind of service
Quote:
What kind of service is required? They are basic movements to work on so depending what needs to be repaired + your purchase price may make it worthwhile? Just a thought. The 112 has a display back, too. Not sure if that is important or not. I have several Panerai and just added the 000 to the stable. I used to hate the base, but have since changed my mind over the last 10 years ! Goodluck ![]() Joe |

Thank you everyone for your input! It helped me greatly! Funny story, I emailed one of the ADs I use here (where I bought 2 pams in the past) and the woman replied that she didn't have a zero, but that she had a 112, which is the same thing but without the logo. I thought of replying to her with all the differences, but...

Having owned both a 000 and a 002 (precursor of the 112), my personal preference is to go for the 112 with a sausage dial. IMO, the logo is nice, but the "panerai" lettering above it feels imbalanced to me. Won't go wrong either way..
