I've never heard of perspiration having that effect on DLC. I wonder if it was a fluke bad PVD coating? It'd be cool if you could share any information when you find out Colin.

I'm also very interesting to hear about that back case.

Heard back from AP. So far they mentioned that they will be replacing the reverser wheel and the winding wheel. Still waiting to hear more from them as they overlooked the main issue why the watch was sent in. Will keep you guys posted.

Do they know who you are? Maybe point them to your mexico thread....

Frankly I think youre a better ambassador for the brand than Lebron, that race car driver, and soccer player. I am surprised they arent taking better care of you.

Goodness... that's twice in a day that I agree with you!

Hal: hope you get satisfaction.

Yes. This is exactly what happened to me. Then my crown and the long rod attached to it came out of the watch completely...

I hope you get it back from Clearwater in decent condition. I didn't.

*edit* NM, I see it went somewhere else. Lucky for you, hopefully.

I agree with you! I can only wish to be their buzz agent and ambassador one day.

Received a call from APSC today. My watch is ready to head back home!

Some dry oil and a loose screw were the crown meets the gears.

It's normal - mine does it too. It takes a few degrees of turn in the crown to engage the mechanism.

Same is true of all 3120 movements in my experience.
