I could compare my watch collecting to my tattoo collecting. I started off young, getting some cheap ones, collecting a whole bunch.

One really nice one goes a lot further in my eyes than a bunch of cheap ones.

I've been spending money on real estate and a truck again and my wife and I want another baby soon, so I'll spend on that too.

Really, I love being a one watch guy right now because I'm young. Maybe for my 35th birthday ill do the Daytona.

Either way, if somebody loves one watch like I love this day date, they will be happy. I don't have desire to get another one yet. I can't explain it but a Rolex that you love stems the addiction for more. I feel like I have good control over my appetite. I don't let desire rule my life, rather I rule my life by wisdom.

I was a practical, sensible one watch (Tag) guy until the Pepsi...and TRF!!
A LV, SD, GV, YM, TOG, EXPll, omega, tudor, ball, zenith, sinn, tutima, and marathon later. I am seriously considering consolidating... someday.

Just the Sub-C for me, I'm another that saw the Sub in James Bond and knew it was what I wanted. It took me twenty odd years to get there but it's worth it. I like looking at he different models on here but have no appetite to get another. I have my grail and its perfect.

GMTc, DD II and JLC Reverso 976 18k would keep me satisfied for some time. And cover all possible occasions I can think of.

Just have to get the DD and upgrade my present JLC Reverso 976 SS. :)

I was a one watch Rolex guy for 16 years with my 1680 sub until I received my DD from my father in 95. But since I could never be a one watch guy any longer as I miss switching my references for wrist time. I was wearing my Pepsi GMT II this past weekend out of town and was yearning for another piece to wear. It would be way to tough. But I could see myself with a smaller collection and being happy as well.

I have 2 DD and 14060. But only wear the DD because it was my dads and he wore all the time and I feel I should do the same. Plus I don't want to wear the sub.

I was a one watch owner for 20 years, never took it off, it was a Bluesy 16613.
Bought it in 1991. Wore it everyday and enjoyed it thoroughly!
I got the notion & opportunity to pick up a daytona in 2011 for a great price, I had wanted it since 1990 ...... So it began, I got the daytona, I flipped the daytona, I bought another and another, & am now at the point were I am striving to be a 3 watch owner:-). Just get seem to get below 4 at the moment.

If I were a 1 watch guy now, it would definitely be the 42mm Explorer II

Flipped many and owned several at one time but I'm very content with my DSSD as my one and only watch.
