New (Sea Dweller) Rolex Shopper - What should be included in "box and papers?"
Looking for some guidance on what should typically be included in a "complete" Rolex set as described with "box and papers." Seems like many images I see of watches for sale have a wide array of booklets, paperwork, tool wallet, anchor, polishing cloth, etc. In my case, I'm on the prowl for a 16600 or 16660 Sea Dweller and trying to sort out what to expect or look for.
I've done some searching here at TRF to find a run-down but may have not utilized the correct search terms to find this if it's already written up somewhere. Thanks in advance for any guidance! |

It sounds like you already have a pretty good idea of what to look for in a complete "collectors" set. To me, "box & papers" mentioned in an advertisement would mean a bare minimum of box(es) and the warranty certificate. In your search, I'm sure you will find that price directly corresponds to the number of accessories included so it's really up to you whether you want the full kit or a lower price. Also, If you wind up sending the watch in for service at a future date, you will then have papers...

I can't answer your question. Personally, I don't value anything other than the watch.
But I do want to say that I love your avatar.

Good idea to always ask the seller for a list of everything that comes with the sale. Most sellers on TRF will include a picture showing all accessories included with watch.

you get box, in/outer; (in a sleeve) instructions manual, service manual, little warranty booklet, warranty card; small leather folder w/ toolkit and dive table card, extra dive extension link, and both hang tags. think that covers everything.

Thanks much for the comments and replies. Much appreciated! Agree that the real point of interest is obviously the watch, but prices seem to vary notably depending upon "how complete" the kit is.

In that case, save some cash and by the LEAST complete set.
