Rad strap options

Sorry for another newbie question. I am looking and considering a couple of different Panerai pieces. One is a Rad the other a Luminor. Is it as easy to change the straps on the Rads as the Lum's? Any comments or feed back that may help me make a decision is appreciated.

I own both and had the same reservation about a Rad. While its not as easy as my 312 quick change system, once you do a few changes on the Rad, it is rather simple.. The only thing is losing the tiny screws on a rad.. Although I was advised not to completely unscrew these tiny screws from the case, only loosen it to remove the wire lugs.. But there are times I need to remove them completely hence the fear of losing them. I use loupes when changing them as it helps to avoid the scratches as well.. Good luck

Definitely not as easy a Luminors, but not too difficult.

Take me about 4-5 minutes to swap straps out on my Radiomir, while 2 minutes on my Luminor.

The wire hangers on the rads are a little fussier then quick release or screws but still very manageable.

I agree, the Rads are a bit more fiddling, but not a huge deal. I change the strap on my 233 a couple of times a week, the 338 pretty much wears the same shoes all the time.

You also need to buy the screwdriver for the Rads as it doesn't come with one like they do on the Luminors.

You'll need a 1.2mm screwdriver. Cheers
