Chrono subdials on ROOs
Just recently I noticed that the subdials at 9 and 12 are closer together than to the 6. Meaning they are not equally spaced.
Anyone know why they would do this? I assume it has to do with the movement? Just think it is odd that they are not equally spaced, would look better if they were I think. |

The subdials look slightly different sizes. The posts appear equidistant to me.

The subdial at 6 does not appear larger to me, they all look the same diameter. Maybe in person there is a difference. But I see how the ones at 12 and 9 are closer.

O yes, good observation. The 6 sundial is lower. Lacated further away relative to the center

This may be something to do with the dubois depraz chronograph module fitted Which is mounted on top of the main movement, but I could be wrong?

I guess form follows function in this case.

So far all ROO subdials I've seen are placed asymmetrically. I believe this has to do with the movement arrangement. Another uncommon feature is that the running second dial is located at 12 o'clock. These are unique design features in the ROO that are not easy to be imitated by fakes. Personally, I don't find the subdials arrangement distracting.
