Could you post a better picture of the clasp, maybe with daylight? Also a pic of the side of the crown.

Please post a picture of the crown side of the clasp, not the crown of the watch ( winder ).
The watch seems to be a TT DJ. If you also have the SN, you can determine the age. It may be that the 9 is the Karats of the bimetal bracelet, if the watch was obtained in specific country. The normal was for 14 and 18 karats and was stamped in a position around where this 9 is. But no "k" is indicated. Which country this watch was from ? Do you know ?

The name is George.
Yes, it is an old bracelet. In regards with the watch, if you check the production SN tables, you can get the approx. year. These are not official but they are not far away from truth. Also bracelets have date codes, unless they were made in the US or other places for tax reasons. I cannot advice you any further. If you like, you can post also photos of the watch itself. All the best !

Which country this watch was from ? Do you know ?[/QUOTE] Apologies GeoGio Greece, forgot to answer the other part. Correct, no "k" indicated, there is a 'J' stamped in the each endlink. 9 karats for the bracelet? Watch bezel, crown, hands, and marks are 14 or 18? I believe it was purchased somewhere in England, or in the U.K. |

Possible to be 9 k.
In the UK, where I lived for 5 years, a 9 k gold item was common, while in my country we start from 14 and above with most common for rings, chains, etc the 18 K. My Christian cross is 22 k,and my wedding ring 18 K. This was due to some taxes applied which enforged gold parts to be low in gold content. Once a member here explained, but I cannot recall.

This is a nice clean watch. Congrats
Sorry I cannot help you more with the "9". Some of the friends in this forum with the appropriate knowledge may call in later and give valid answers.
