Clasp opens up way too easily

My 1990 pespi GMT clasp opens up too easily. When i slide my arm through my jacket 90% when the hand comes out so does the watch. Is there a quick fix it or I'm gonna have to take it to Rolex?

you can easily adjust that by just slighly bending the two metal pieces on the clasp.

I had the same problem with my Breitling. As YS said, bending the metal extensions on the clasp will do the trick.

Please DON'T bend "the two" (meaning BOTH) blades!

You should only bend the blade that connects DIRECTLY to the bracelet to fit the curve of your wrist.

Bo,

I have the same problem and I was just going to bend one of the blades with my needle nose pliers. How in the world do I figure out which blade connects directly to the bracelet. What am I missing?

Well, you have two blades.

One connection directly to the bracelet, and one connecting to the OTHER blade which connects to the clasp.

You'd wanna adjust (slightly bend) that blade that connects DIRECTLY to the bracelet.

I know Jocke has a nice tutorial showing the procedure.

Of course, NEVER try bending the NEW STYLE "blades". Firstly, they would be tough to bend, at all, and secondly they are shaped the way they should be and are not meant to be adjusted any further.

I may have to try bending the clasp, mine is starting to get loose too. Should it be bent when it is attached or when it is not? After looking at it, I think it could be bent with the clasp engaged as long as it is off my wrist. The reason I ask if it should be attached or not is that I don't want to bend the clasp/clip too far that it won't close.

You should bend the blade that connects DIRECTLY to the bracelet (as described above), and do it while the watch is OFF your wrist and the clasp is open.

Remember that you should only bend the blade ever so slightly. Then try it out and see if it has helped. If not, bend it just a little more, and then try it out again.

I found Jocke's tutorial on how to do it for you:

Open the clasp.

Bend it a bit.

And it´s like new again.
