This one's been with me on many adventures. It's my "when it's not safe to wear a really nice watch" watch. I believe I got it on a cruise in 2001 and it's never been serviced in 12 yrs but keeps perfect time and good amplitude.

Yes I wish it was LNIB, but such as life. I will send it for a polish when it gets water tested.

I wish I had an Audemars in college!!!

I can just imagine the flames you may get if you dare to post this on the Omega forum. Maybe the appropriate word will be "less blinky"

PS : I think Omega made really nice watches. Their POs are gorgeous.

is it wrong that i love a well loved, worn and scratched Ap?

nothing like your own personal patina on a timepiece!

Not at all

Speaking of AP in college...one of the reasons I love it is the AP draws a lot less attention than my DSSD did. I have only ever had 1 person in the wild notice my AP and that was when I was driving through DC, stopped at Georgetown Tobacoo for some birthday cigars for my buddy on the way down to UVA. One of the workers notice my watched and went "is that an AP ROO?!"....this resulted in a great conversation and exceptional service

agreed, i went through 2 dssds and they brought on too much attention, too many hey nice watch, what kind is it? a rolex, arent those like $50k?, no.

I just started saying its a dive watch. No one really says anything about my diver unless they are a wis. Heck i even said Ap a few times and people have said never heard of it, which makes me happy happy!

I must admit, I love the fact that not many people know about AP, so it doesn't draw too much attention!

Just beautiful Mike, I agree not a scratch magnet. I wear my steel too mostly and I do have
several scratches- my daughter fell down the porch steps last fall ( only 3 steps lol) and when I reached to catch her I got a pretty decent scratch on the bracelet. But no one got hurt besides the AP so worth it. I get so much enjoyment looking at the dial a few scratches doesn't phase me ;)
