Great watch. It is versatile and can handle anything. Also thin enough to wear comfortably under a dress shirt. The 2254 was my first nice watch and I wore it almost every day for nearly7 years. Now I caught the watch bug and have some others that I wear as my daily. My 2254 is tucked away in the safe. I will never sell it.

I also had one for about 7 years and then part ex'd it for a PO.
I completely under estimated the quality of this hardy, reliable watch. As versatile as any, great lume, accurate. Must get another some time.

I had one years ago and it was a fabulous watch. I wish I would have held on to it considering the recent used prices. The lume on the watch is outstanding.

In my opinion the Omega 2254.50 is a classic. I have one which I have had several years now and is a keeper in my collection. I recommend them highly. I doubt you can find an AD with a new one, but nice used ones show up on for sales forums. Cheers, Bill P.

sure a classic..i love my sister to the 2254, he 2231..it is actually a new addiction and despite unusual circumstances where I should normally part with it (a sale deal fell through and now I have two SMPs on my hands, though different but one must go and this being later and un-sentimentally acquired should be the one culled), I am doing everything to stick to it, it is just that good

I believe I've had three in total, unfortunately, I could never really get the bracelet to fit just right. Great watch and it's awesome on any strap you throw on it. As others have said, the lume is wonderful and it's uber versatile. Enjoy!

Bang for the buck. No other watch has given me so much pleasure and joy compared to the money spent. I love all Seamasters with sword hands, but in the end I love the 2254.50 the most.

Love the watch. Worn every day for three plus years. Still looks great, still about a second off a day!
Will never sell it.
Wore it on my wedding day, in Hawaii swimming for the honeymoon, swam in our ontario lakes for the bachelor weekend. The day I found out we are having a baby !
Kept my time in the most important times of my life

You can compile a very enviable collection just with sword hands Seamasters.

Does anyone have the Great White GMT?

I definitely want to add a vintage SM300 to my collection one day.

I'm usually on the Rolex portion of the forum but slipped by here for a visit and this post caught my eye. I've had a 2254.50 for going on six years now and it it a great watch. Mine is a consistent 2 seconds per day and the lume even after 6 years is amazing. Nice and thin, you won't find a much better bang for your buck. I bought mine new fron an AD for right around 1300 - 1400. You will never regret this purchase if you decide to snag one.
