Question for all you Divers. Which is the overall better diver, Pelagos or Deep Sea?

How does the Pelagos stack up against the Deep Sea?

Are there any divers out there? And which would you prefer?

I've been into scuba diving for the last 20 years, I own a DSSD which I really like but when I actually dive I use a Suunto D6 Dive computer like the vast majority of divers who use a dive computer.....

So you don't think the Seamaster has a place in the voting?
I'm an Omega fan when I'm not wearing my Rolex.

Hmmm, I'm not a diver but I could understand one liking one better than the other. What would the reasons be that one would be a better diver than the other?

I agree with Shalako, I think 99% divers watch out there are not going into the sea, same as 99% SUV arent doing off road. Get a computer watch for diving :>

Both are great watches in their own right, but like others have said, a dive computer is the practical choice, and the watch is just a secondary accessory in the dive world......

I understand a dive computer is the most practical option. But I am just asking about these particular 2.

Wear both the dive watch and the computer.

Enjoy both to the measure of their design, the luxury dive watch and the advanced dive computer. A backup is standard procedure for devices protecting your life that thereby require redundancy. Wear the dive Rolex with the computer. It only takes two seconds more to set the watch to time your underwater time! Then you have two types of time devices to verify information critical for your very life.

Btw I love to dive and really want a hulk to dive with...

Have to agree and most any dive watch rated to 200m or over as a back up to computer will be fine for all recreational scuba diving.

As a DSSD owner who voted accordingly, a dive computer and a rubber beater, ala G-Shock will do nicely. I enjoy diver model watches but, truth be told, don't dive with them typically. The bumps and bruises a watch gets on the boat and in/around dive gear lends itself more towards beaters. With that said, maybe I need to get a few dings in my DSSD.

I don't dive. But the DSSD has a few features that detract from it being a true tool watch compared to the Pelagos.

just get a normal sub! As far as depth, you would probably kill yourself before you kill a normal sub.

I'd be happy with the SD.
