Is this Daytona rare???

I'm new here. I've owned this Daytona for awhile now.

I've been thinking about selling it because I've always wanted one with a black face.

After doing some research it seems like it might be somewhat rare. What do you guys think it's worth?

I'm not certain that's considered a rare Daytona.

This one is only $7350 on a used watch site and has a diamond dial (Bernard Watch Co)

Here's another Zenith movement Daytona that looks similar to yours, though yours looks a little older, still using the Tritium...

I thought the inverted 6 made it rare. Maybe I'm wrong. What do you think I should ask for it?

The diamond dialed one also has an inverted six. It's been sitting on this guys site for a long while.

Here's a nice article on the different dials of the 16520:

Yours looks to me like a Mark III.

You have a beautiful watch there. Can you tell us a bit more about it? Do you have all the papers?

I think your right about it being a markIII. I bought it a few years back. I still have the boxes and an extra link. Its in good working condition. It could use a polish to be perfect, but overall, it's in nice shape.

Don't really know much more about it. I only know a little about Rolex's.

I want to sell it and thought this would be a good place for advice on it's value.

Here's another pic.

I'd get it polished to put it in its best light.

I'm not sure what these pieces are moving for. Hopefully someone with more market knowledge will let us know.

Welcome to TRF!

Nice Zenith Daytona, and they are rising increasingly in price. The SS ones are the most sought-after though, and the condition of the watch shown does lower the value, but RSC can make it look like new for about 500 US $

Here is a chart over the rarity and various types of SS Daytonas, and as you can see your TT Daytona has the "Inverted 6" in the subsidiary chronograph at six which makes it a bit more rare than the usual ones:

I concur with the $7k appraisal.
