Weight in grams of platinum vs gold day date 2
Anyone know the difference in weights? Trying to back into the raw cost of the amount of platinum and gold in each model. Thanks

wouldn't you have to know the weight of the gaskets, movement and crystal first? (and the number of links on bracelet, and the weight per link)

We've been through this exercise before , calculating the spot gold value in terms of grams of YG per DayDate, and the gold value, while significant with the President bracelet included, is no where near the retail price of the model if you threw in the entire selling price of a SS Sub or Datejust which uses essentially the same caliber inside (3135 has no date wheel, all else being the same).
Similarly the cost difference in precious metal does not come to close to the price premium of a YG Datejust over its SS counterpart. |
