Probably not going to get one... I got a Panerai 335 on my radar as my next watch and possibly the AP GP in FC as my next. I already have the diver and as much as id like to add it, can't at this time... You got a good price on that one... =)

Congrats. Nice piece. What is the final word on FC, is it being discontinued or not.

I tried on a carbon Grand Prix and it was extremely light.

It literally felt like you were not wearing a watch.

I tried one on as well, it was I believe 92 grams. Felt like a toy. But then I tried on a GP gold/FC and it weighed a ton (because of the gold of course)

so I'm wondering how much the ceramic weighs this one down.. I'm assuming not much?

It's a good thing that panic didn't cause you to do something impulsive or silly like buying a watch! Would hate to see that ever happen. Bi congrats on the newest member of your family!

How do you feel about the weight of the watch? I REALLY like the FC diver and BB but may not get a chance to try before I buy. Do you feel it wears too light?

I think it wears great, but then its inherent lightness was a selling point for me. Heft is a nice thing, and on a subconscious level, it certainly conveys a sense of quality, however when handling a forged carbon piece from AP, it's quite clear that you've got something special in your hands.

Adam

Interesting that the bezel numbers on your FC are very different to the ss Diver and other FCs Ive seen. They are bigger and thinner.

Indeed, they are bigger than those on my steel Diver, however they're the same as those of the two other FC Divers I've handled at the boutique.

You can see the difference in this shot:

(Please excuse the JLC and IWC...)

Adam

Thanks, Mike! Ever since I made the mistake of trying one on at the boutique it's been a question of when, not if.

So, when can we expect to see one on your wrist?

Adam

A lot?

But seriously, I don't have a scale to weigh them, and what's more, my Diver is on the bracelet, which weighs like a metric ton. I can say that as light as the forged carbon is, you're still aware that there's a watch on your wrist, since the case dimensions are so substantial. Still, we are talking about a watch made out of super light materials (forged carbon, titanium, ceramic and rubber), so you can't expect it to have the heft of steel.

Adam

Well, it's barely two weeks old, so I guess it should come as no surprise that it's holding up pretty well.

Lemme get back to you in a year, and we'll see then how forged carbon stacks up on the wrist.

Adam

If the meaning of 'exact copy' is a slight resemblance then you nailed it.

What a dumb comment.

Congrats, it's gorgeous!

Your diver on bracelet is my absolute favorite watch in the world. Enjoy it!
