Leaving 2 on the bench...

Afternoon all.

I have a '58 Air King super precision and a 16610 Sub date, both of which are no being parked in a drawer for a while for various reasons.

Should I be intermittently winding these up to keep things ticking over - boom boom - or are they fine to just be left until I choose to wear them.

They could be untouched for 3 - 6 months at a time I should think.

cheers,

D.

I would periodically wind them up the full 40 turns and let them wind down...

I wind all of mine every 30-45 days just in case. It is a pain but I think worth it! Cheers,

I don't think 3-6 months is a big deal, to leave them be. Just my opinion, of course.

Cool i- thanks for the feedback.

I reckon I'll wind them up fully every couple of months.

Maybe give a wind every other month or so, probably not a big deal as long as you're not going to let them sit for years.

This is why this forum is awesome. Learned something new today. I will definitely make it a habit to wind my watches now every 30 or so days. Even if not worn.

Big Mahalo from Kauai!!!
