Meeting of TRF members in Athens, Greece.
John ( layne – Australia ) responded to my post “ Easter eggs decoration” posted on the 5 th of May, and declared that he was going to visit Athens, Greece, by the end of the month.
I asked him, if he liked to let me know when that would be so we could meet. So, this morning, I met him and his wife at their hotel and we walked to the Athens Acropolis- Parthenon temple, to the ancient theater bellow Acropolis, then through the old traditional city of Athens called Plaka, to the Monastiraki flee market, then via the main market streets, to the Constitution square, to the Parliament, to the guards of the “unknown soldier”, and ended up outside the national garden, as I had to return to some of my obligations. This as long as the tourist part of the visit. The Rolex part visit consisted of
The whole tour, including a coffee break, lasted 5 and half hours. Thank You John and wife for being patient with me. We both thank TRF for getting us together. John will upload his photos at his earliest convenience, as he travels and has a heavy schedule to follow. During our coffee break, we took a photo of the watches at hand at this time. George had along his 5513 and a 16700. John had his ceramic GMT on a NATO strap.

That's fantastic of you George, to extend the hand of friendship and take the time to share some local sites with a visitor like that.
Sounds like it was an enjoyable time. |

Cool. I can't wait for the pics. I have not been to Greece but someday I will. I was an avid Greek Mythology geek during my school days.

Any time, any member visiting Athens, can just let me know, as we can arrange a similar or the same tour.
It will be a pleasure for me to meet more friends, and show around a city that has a long history. So, you all have an open invitation, if things go well, I will set up a touristic agency for TRF members
