Gorgeous watch, I just feel that 20k is a little heavy

Great looking watch. I am waiting until I can get a discount on it. I am in no rush. Waiting patiently.

I'll be buying depending on the price. This year discount sounds very tough. Which means my 18kt YMII will even get lesser wrist time.

Yes it is, but the contrast between the numbers on the bezel (ie. white on blue vs yellow on blue) make you think twice.

I'm not desperate to have it Mike, so paying full price is not sitting well with me either. Especially as I wasn't expecting it to come in so soon and had allocated these funds towards a different piece altogether.

Was surprised with the fit, as I always assumed that it would be too big for my wrist, so I had never even tried on the other YMII variations because of that. Re. contenders, all I can say is that I have been looking to inject some YG into the collection, in one form or another

No. I was saying that initially it seemed to me that the blue bezel colour was different on the YG version than the SS version, but that's only because of the contrast between blue/YG vs blue/SS.

I love the way it looks, but almost $20,000 for an SS watch that does not have a date and is not useful unless you race yachts. I would rather spend less money and get an AP ROO.

That's the ballpark figure I expected, but seeing it in black and white is quite sobering!
Buying it now would certainly attract the "new model premium." Financially, it seems like you may be better off pretending it hadn't arrived yet and purchased it down the track (maybe even when you originally intended) and putting your $19895 towards your gold fund. Then again, you could be wearing the YM2 right now?! Let us know what you do. |
