Brushed Yachtmaster??

Has anyone taken and brushed the center links and case on a yachtmaster Platty?
I saw a guy wearing one a number of years ago and at the time thought it looked awful but now I'm wondering if I would still think the same way.

Post it if you have one

I wonder why someone would do that.... was the case "brushed" as well then?

Honestly I can't remember if the case was brushed, might not have been but the one thing that stands out in my mind is that he applied a charcoal finish to the bezel insert then brushed the numbers.
If he went to that extreme, I would say he also brushed the case.

I'm a fan of brushed ss tool watches , I feel like the ym looks perfect with the pc. I don't consider the ym as rugged or as much of a tool watch as the sub or exp. the ym is on the same order as the gmt IMO

It wouldn't suit a flashy model like the Platty methinks.
