Love the YM. It is an elegant watch and unique in rolex's lineup. Only watch, propably not but a definite yes. Love the blue as well.

The best part about the new blue YM, is that even the best pics I have seen, can't come close to how amazing it looks in the flesh! This coming from a guy that is all about the Sub's. Truly a home run when you see it in person!

Love the new blue, but with the YM something feels off to me about the bezel.

Here's my first wrist shot...via iPhone so pardon the quality.

I second that comment. I posted on this thread earlier, but I am so taken by this blue dial YM, I thought I'd check in again. I am trying to figure out a way to pay for both the watch and my wife's lawyer.

It is designed with a yacht-mindedness. What is more likely to happen is to be questioned for the tone of your post...there's nothing to look down at regarding the name.

I love the model shown below, it's incredible. It was just to hard for me to read at times.(Sold it) I think it's one of the more better looking ROLEX watches out there. The blue dial is just so so for me, I need to see it on my wrist.

Sometimes electronic media can be a funny thing. I realize 99% of you probably never gave a second thought to the name Yacht Master. I meant that it was a terrible name for ME. I have no other comrades who are interested in watches. Most of my friends and associates wear G-Shocks and Suunto or no watch at all and the thought of spending more than $500 for a watch would strike them as absurd. They are the kind of folks who would photoshop a captain's hat on my head and email it around and then when I left the office I would have a sail and rudder mounted to my car. Truly, I work with a bunch of 40 year old 8th graders. One has to be on constant prank alert. But they are also the best friends a guy could ever have.

I have my 116622 never regretted. I admit the blue dial is stunning but i can see myself "getting over it" eventually but for me the platinum dial is forever classic thats why i chose it over the blue when i held both in my hands. My YM is still my favourite day watch, and the fact that so many people who dont know much about watches mistake it for a Tag Huer makes it all the more special for me as a filter of those in the know and those who arent.
