Mother of Pearl vs Silver Face on Stainless Datejust with Diamonds

Hi Everyone,
Is it worth the extra $1500 for the Mother of Pearl face vs the Silver Face on a Ladies Datejust. I am told that you cant upgrade later. So many decisions...

My wife's DJ has MOP and diamond markers. If she was to use it as a daily watch, I think it would be difficult to tell time quickly, since the MOP dial and the WG hands are not contrasted well, IMO. However, the MOP is beautiful and unique, and contrasts well with the diamond markers. I think the MOP is worth the upgrade.

It is a matter of personal preference, but I just love the simple and classic silver dial. You will never get tired of looking at it.

Right before I bought my rhodium diamond dial, I checked out the white MOP diamond dial and it was a bit too 'busy' for my taste....found the MOP to be more iridescent than I prefer (of course each piece of MOP is unique).

My wifes Datejust

It's a beautiful watch. She wears it daily as can be seen by the various scratches.
