Icon2 Champagne Dial Thread

Post pictures of your champagne dial Datejusts!

I am getting a 31mm Datejust soon and am leaning towards getting a champagne dial with Romans (or sticks). I know that many people are not fond of champagne dials, but I find them very attractive.

I like the champagne dials, but because there is little contrast between the hands and the dial it is very hard to read the time in poor lighting conditions.

I've had champagne dials before - but now have something a bit different that many mistake for champagne. It's a stella gold dial - sometimes called smoky gold due to the "sun ray" finish from dark to light.

Having a pattern on a champagne dial is the best for visibility. I have the champagne tapestry.

Mine is 18078 bark finish, sorry no pic. It looks great , the whole watch being gold color. But it is very hard to read, mostly in the sun. That said I wouldn't have it any other way !

Do you find the champagne dial with gold Romans hard to read? I am interested in this combination for my Datejust.

I don't have champagne dial, but I think the white one (with roman dial) is quite cool for TT Datejust.

As I said before, champagne dial can be difficult to read at times, but it is not impossible. If you like the dial, buy the watch, I don't think you will regret it. I am happy with mine and I have been wearing it daily for two years.

That's what I think I am going to do. I've seen the champagne dial in person before and don't find it hard to read.
