Explorer 1 questions
I recently received this old explorer from my grandfather, and I am really wanting to restore it to better condition. I would also like to find out more about the date and era of the watch. I would ask my grandfather about it but unfortunately he has passed away. What bracelet would you recommend and is there any good places in dallas tx to get it fixed up.

Take off the strap and read the first few digits of the serial number for us and we can get a decent date for you. Once we have the date then we can tell you a little more. As it is, it appears to be in great condition, dial wise. Value to be upwards to 5k +.

That's a very expensive and valuable watch. Only let someone like Ridley work on it.

Watchmakers International (Bob Ridley ) is located just outside Dallas.. He is not the cheapest, but he is a Rolex restoration expert and, like others, I highly recommend him if you want your heirloom to look it's best and retain it's vintage value
His site is www.Watchmakers.com
