Thoughts on the 351?
Thinking of picking one up...

Awesome watch, but I found the brown dial limits the strap choices. Here is my old 351 before I moved onto the 233.

It is a good choice... but it depends on what you own right now too.

Its a beautiful watch...the gold hands and brown dial look amazing. Excellent choice in my opinion.

The brown dial and gold hands make the watch - spectacular combo! That said, not sure I'd buy one as my only watch; would fit better as part of a rotation, IMHO.

Thanks for the input, it wouldn't be my only watch so the color/strap issue wouldn't be a problem.

My brother has one. I like how it's thick but still a lot lighter than the 312 (because the 351 is titanium). Tried the 312 on at my AD , liked the proportions but it feels very top heavy. the 351 manages to be balanced but maintaining that same proportion.

Great watch! I prefer it over the 312. Wears so nice on the wrist and the tobacco dial is a bonus.

One of the major reasons I was considering, I had a 359 for awhile but always found it a bit top heavy. |

I tried on a 351 last weekend as well as a 233, and have tried on a 320 in the past. I really fell in love with the 351, the combination of the tobacco dial, gold hands, and titanium case is stunning, as well as unique. I personally didn't like the doming of the crystal on the 233, and found the 351 to be easier on the eyes.
From a comfort standpoint, I found the 351 to be the most comfortable. While it sits higher than the 233, it is significantly lighter. I actually wore the 351 on my left (usual spot) wrist and 233 on the right for about 10 minutes while chatting with the AD, and the difference was tangible. I'd prefer a 351 that included a 2nd "GMT" 12-hour hand like the 320, which of course does not yet exist. But when it comes down to it, I prefer the look of the 351 and will likely go that route as my next watch. I really wanted to like the 233 which seems to be a forum favorite, but I'm just not a fan of the big dome and distortion of the edges of the dial. For reference, I have an Explorer 1 39mm and Omega POC 9300 and a 6.75" wrist. None of the PAMs I've tried on sit as high and heavy as the POC. Since both of my other watches are black faced, I'm looking forward to shaking it up a bit with the tobacco. |

// Off-topic As for the 233's domed crystal... it may not be as pragmatic as the flat(ter) crystals found on the 1950 / P.9000 Luminors, but damn if it doesn't make me grin from ear to ear...

It looks beautiful with the all combine titanium + ss + gold hands + brown dial. i used to think to get one in the past. so i went to try it on a few times, realized it's light but thick and high due to the p.9000 movement. so it feels weird on my wrist for some reason.

Owned a 351 previously. I absolutely loved it, but it's height was one of the main reasons for letting it go.
