Icon20 Rolex authentication help!!!!!

When buying online at a non-AD where do I bring one of their watches to get authenticated? And how long does that take/cost typically? Can they do that while you wait? Thanks.

Rolex authentication help!!!!!

Rolex Ads can't sell online.

You can try a local Rolex AD but many will not want to authenticate. You could also try a local RSC.

I'd take it to a reputable jeweler that knows Rolex. Cause god forbid its stolen and u take it to Rolex or possibly an ad they will confiscate it. Then you will be out some serious coin my friend. Good luck!

Rolex service center.

For authentication I go to Rolex AD and have the watch appraised for insurance purposes. It is about 100 bucks and it authenticates the watch and I have paper for my insurance to add the watch to my home insurance.

Sutter's Watch Repair in Chicago is a Rolex Service Center..

If you buy from a reputable on-line Dealer you don't have much need to have it "authenticated"...

Honestly I'd do a heck of a lot more research if I were you before I bought anything.

Give the guy a break. He would take it back to the seller for a refund, then report it.

Absolutely. I was looking out for the buyer not to screwed out of money. The words "I would keep it" never was written. These days you never know. Obviously he must not fully trust the seller if he's asking for authentication help. My friend.

Well, I have no problem saying I apologize then

I deal with the the Earth's lowlifes day in and day out. I merely interpreted the original statement at face value.....and was offended myself.

No sweat dude! No need to apologize. I can see how my statement could have been taken in the wrong way. Next time I'll be sure to be more specific.
