Icon5 Rolex DD1803 technical question

My apologies if this has been asked before...

Is it okay to rotate the watch hands backward while adjusting the day and date? Today is 1July n yesterday was 30June...so need adjustment n hope I didn't damage the 1556 engine inside the DD...

In addition, can hear the ticking sounds very loudly...is this normal?

Any possible assistance on how to adjust the day date speedily? Any precaution for this model of watch...like should not chg date or day between 8pm-2am etc...thanks much for sharing!

There is no harm in setting your Rolex forward or backward. If I remember correctly, I had one in the 70's, you have to set the day of the week first by rotating to Monday and then the date will quickset to the 1st.

No worries, I used to wind clockwise and counter clockwise to fast track the date change.
