Lucky Fish Wins the Lottery!
I traveled up to one of my favourite spots over the weekend and was hoping to find some eagles and I wasn't disappointed. The weather didn't cooperate most of the time but the eagles were busy fighting over the fish and this one got a very lucky break.

Thanks very much everyone.
Thank you. The juvenile which is the one on top had the fish and was being chased by a couple of adults and then dropped it. There are a lot of eagles in the area so if any of them catch a fish they have to run a gauntlet of other eagles to keep it.

Amazing photos! Your images are so clear. Do you sharpen them / process them in any way? Just curious.

Thanks folks. Much appreciated.
Thank you. No Photoshop or Lightroom just the DPP software that comes with Canon. It allows you to do some basic processing but it is very limited compared to the others.

Thanks to every one who has commented on these photos. I'm glad you enjoyed them.
Thank you. These were taken on the Susquehanna River in Maryland. Thanks, they are a sequence taken in "rapid fire" mode. The camera I use is capable of 10 frames per second in perfect conditions although it was very cold when these were taken and considering other factors I'm guessing the camera wasn't operating at it's maximum potential but it still gives you an idea of how fast the eagles move when a meal is on the line.

Great shooting even with the technical help from the sequential mode. Steady and ultra sharp!
