O

All sub date and seadweller has an oval "O" on the word ROLEX except for the current LV. I discovered this while I was looking at my TT sub (year1999).

It's for the deploment of the extender to go diving.....you press on the "o" to release the clasp.

Sorry, misread what you wrote, trying to do two things at once

I have noticed on other pic's there is a difference in font from year to year.

I don't think ALL Sub Dates have an "oval O" in Rolex, but the first Sub LV's did indeed have an oval O.

My Sub Date has an oval O. Also, the print is slightly larger, and the coronet is slightly larger than my 14060M. I think it's so the word ROLEX matches up better with O.P.D.
