Are Turn-O-Graph's and Thunderbird's the same?

Need a bit of clarification from any one of the resident experts. I at first thought they were one and the same but I am not sure.

Some say Turn-O-Graph in red letters on the dial and some don't. Is it some normal DJ's have a "Thunderbird" bezel and others are truly TOGs? Are there different ref #?

To go one step further, There also seems to be two different bezels. The current one is fluted and the other version has the raised numbers with a textured background.

I have seen all these versions called Turn-O-Graphs and Thunderbirds at the same time. I'm confused...

Some call the ToG's "Thunderbirds", but the real Thunderbirds (ref. 1625) are rare birds, indeed (sorry for the pun), having the Thunderbird emblem on the dial:

So, Are all DJ's that have a turning bezel TOGs or only the ones with the name on the dial?

I have seen the old version of the TOG, as pictured above, called the Thunderbird. The new TOG version with the fluted bezel is not usually called Thunderbird. But this is how the AD's I've been to call them, they could be wrong.

My 2002 DJ has a Thunderbird Bezel - and from what I know it, is classed as a thunderbird.....

Thunderbird is a subcategory of or kind of Turn-O-Graph. So yes, a Thunderbird is a TOG. Not all TOG's are Thunderbirds.

OK. Are all DJ with a Thunderbird bezel, Turn-O-Graphs or only the ones that say it on the dial?
