Congrats on the Explorer I, you definitely made a great choice and it suits you fine. You pulled off that PO pretty good too but I understand your regret in trading a Speedmaster for a PO, IMO the speedmaster is in a different arena in terms of significance. Anyway, congrats again on the recent purchase!

I have just bought the same watch for very similar reasons, I had a full size PO Chrono but it stopped twice within a week of purchase so I returned it and stumped up the extra for a brand new Explorer 1.

I have already bought 3x Nato straps for mine and am looking forward to mixing it up a bit with them.

Great choice and I agree that it is a timeless design that will look good whatever the fashion might be.

Congrats on your Explorer. I too prefer the explorer over the sub, it is a very classy watch that looks great in any situation. Might have to pick one up someday!
