Daytona-Opinion on Price from AD

Hi all,
So to make a long story short, after a little haggling with an out of town AD. I was able to secure a price of 11k (delivered) for a new SS black dial daytona with a random serial. I initially tried to get it for 10k, but that didn't go anywhere. Also, I see these going for more nib from gray market dealers on here, and close to the same price for used with named/dated papers. This makes me think that this is a good deal, but am not sure if I could realistically try for more at another AD.

Anyway, I appreciate any thoughts/advice.

Best,

JP

I think it is a very good deal coming from your local AD.
My AD charges more here, and the black dial is usually selling above list.
Go for it if you love the watch.

i paid $12K for mine. No tax. Wouldn't go any lower and that was after buying a TT DJ with diamond for the wife.

I've been seeing full sets on the grey market for
$9.5 lately. Really depends on whom you want to
Buy from.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Lgear-the ones I've scene for those prices seem to be older serials with signed/dated cards or without. I don't think I've seen an open warranty random for that much.

Although the name on warranty or redesigned clasp may not matter to some.

Appreciate any more opinions as this is a rather significant purchase for me.

I paid 11.5k all in from my local AD on August 8 (less than a month ago), and that took a little work. I chose the white dial, but all ADs gave me a choice of white or black, price was the same. Visited 5 ADs in my area. 4 of them wouldn't move a penny from list PLUS tax. 11k is a great deal!

I thought about buying BNIB from a trusted seller, but couldn't find one at that price when i bought. Trusted seller wanted 11600 ish.

My AD wouldn't budge off MSRP for the Daytona.

My Ad wanted 6K im advance just to put me on " the list " and 6k when delivered so no discount here in Houston, other AD's I visited didn't even had a list and the worst of all Tourneau in the Galleria said, you have to spend at least $300k to be in the list, they had a used one for $14k, I just laugh at their face and left, contacted DavidSW got my beloved SS black face and never looked back.

That's a great deal! I paid over 13K a year ago. I didn't know about the trusted sellers here.

$1,000 less than I paid, but my salivating may have hurt my leverage. Next time I may take a beta blocker prior to entering the AD!

Good deal from an AD. I paid the MSRP of $12K + tax = $13K. My AD gave me a discount on every watch except on the SS Daytona

Good price at $11k from an AD! If you truly want it, you better purchase before someone else does.

All 6 ADs I contacted (local and one out of state) would not budge on the 12k list price for SS Daytona. Since they would not budge on price, I did negotiate to have them throw in a watch winder and service for another watch which was due. Probably saved me $500-750 out of pocket.

Mine was random serial with updated blue lume. Came from Rolex directly to the AD only a day prior to purchase. Untouched until I purchased.
