Omega Aqua Terra Annual Calendar Question

So I've been in the market for an AT Annual Calendar for a while and on my recent trip to NYC I stopped into the Omega boutique to decide on the dial and so forth. Turns out they have the skyfall blue dial just released and get this they actually LOWERED the price from 9500 to 8400. Reason given was the month and date no longer have frames around them hence less labor.

It's so strange to see lowered prices for popular models like this but then again 43mm is a rather large case to wear. I think Omega pulls it off beautifully unlike Rolex with their super size models.

Which would you choose given the factors mentioned? The sales rep told me both have gold dial markings but the previous version had the gold frames as well. The movement should be the same I would think. It's either the skyfall blue or the older teak version. Thanks

I was given the same reason here in Shanghai boutique for the price reduction; but I am still not convinced. The frame around the date-month window looks aesthetically pleasing but the 43mm case size is quite big, but if the lugs doesnt overhang then not a problem. 38mm case looks out of balanced as it is too thick.

I just love the skyfall blue, but it no seceret that I love the AT Annual Calednar in every possible variation

The AT is a beautiful watch and the frame was nice. However, the removal of the frame gives the watch a more refined look IMHO. I prefer it over the previous model but I tend to gravitate towards more subtle styles of watches. $1,100 cheaper and has a classic design = buy it!

Check the servicing cost on the Omega site before you finally decide - its hefty. Personally I like the old style but that's a high premium for a border. Good luck and enjoy.
