Bracelet Reconditioning

Guys, I have a buddy here that I work with that has an original root beer, daily wearer. This bracelet is beyond stretched. Yesterday, one of the severely worn gold links broke through. He does not want a new bracelet. Is there someone that can repair it? Looks like y'all have had success sending stuff to Michael Young. Can he do two-tones? Do y'all have contact info for him? I tried searching but couldn't find it (maybe I'm a little retarded though - LOL).

Yes. Michael Young does restore two-tone bracelets ...

Here's his page re. bracelet services and prices.
Navigate around from there and you'll find his contact details

I know. It's been serviced twice in its life (1977) and it's within COSC. go figure. Haha

I would contact MY and send pictures before sending to make sure he can restore it if it's that far gone.

Invest $20 in a NATO band to wear it while MY restores the bracelet. It will probably take 4-6 weeks but he does good work!

Now that gentelmen is what you would call bracelet stretch. OP make sure that you let us know how this all turns out. If MY can fix that he can fix anything!

I agree, I love the nipple dial. That watch has been worn for decades exactly as it should have been. Good for your friend, I hope that you are able to help him out, keep us posted.

Your friend should know that the restored bracelet is going to be a few links shorter in length when it returns. Not that any links will actually be missing but that the process of tightening up the bracelet will leave it shorter than it is in its current, stretched out, condition. If your friend has no extra original links, he may want to discuss that with Mr Young ahead of time and have him add the extra length there in Hong Kong before shipping the finished product back home.

Very good advice!

This happened to my oval linked Jubilee bracelet and I had a difficult task of finding extra links.

MY did an excellent job and I've just posted my 62510h to him.
