Good overview of Daytona 6263 variations?

Hi,

I'm looking for a good overview of the Daytona 6263 variations.

There seem to be quite a few different versions, in particular of the dial of course. Some don't have 'Daytona' written on them, others have it in Big Red, small red?, floating red,...?

I know the general story (first without Daytona then with Daytone, some are service dials, etc), but where can I find a nice, chronological overview, with also an indication of how rare some variations are?

Ie, which ones are extremely collectable and which ones are very collectable (I can't imagine there are 6363's which are not collectable;)

Thanks!

Guido Mondani keeps them available on the U.S. eBay site, FYI.

Thanks!
As mentioned, a good book should get you started.. Keep in mind that it is the public that finalized/solidified the name "Daytona"

The Daytona was/is the Cosmograph that simply got "Daytona" put on the dial in the 60's to entice the fledgling Racing fans to buy.. Not all Cosmographs got that bit of paint then, it was a marketing tool..

Now-days, of course, everybody thinks that it has always been a Daytona..

Thanks for the tip on the book.

I'm however not interested in all Daytona's or Cosmographs...
