so do you remember to wind?

all you manual guys? im leaning towards making the 372/422/423 my next purchase. (one of them). would be my first manual and pam. so say with the 372 and no power reserve, do you just wind it every day? all the time? when you remember? also, is it like most autos. 35-40 turns to full wind?

thanks

I wind every morning until I feel resistance.

I have a variety of manual PAMs, 3- and 8-day. The ones with 8-day reserves are particularly easy to maintain, though obviously they take longer to fully wind if I let them power down completely. Kept in a handy case which I see everyday, it's a simple matter of winding them once a week, and a pleasure to handle them when I do.

i probably wont get to compare them all side by side, but its most likely narrowed down to the 422 and 372. the 423 is a little to busy. its up in the air at this point, and i am by no means a purist so that isnt stopping me from getting the 422.

I have 3 manuals, a 50 year old Omega, and 2 Panerai, the 82, that I rewind everyday, even if I could just every 2 days, and 233 that I rewind every 4-5 days, it takes a long time to rewind it completely when it's down to zero so I don't let it go to the end, to be honest I love manuals, it makes a closer relationship between the watch and you

I bought the 372 and sold it after one year. Many times the watch died in my wrist. I bought not long ago the 422, REALLY GOOD! with the power reserve indication I can see when I should wind the watch

I prefer the simple look, clean dial of the 422.

Maybe. I call it busy person that don't remember when was last time he wind the watch. With the 422 at least I can see when was last time and if I need to do it again. Also is much easier to wind the watch always with the same amount of power reserve left in it.
