It is now well established, its been running now,for almost 10 years with only a few
small problems.Mainly down to getting the correct lighting spectrum, and the water movement. The main food of most of the corals is light, they have a symbiotic algae (zooxanthellae) for their nutrition,by photosynthesis the, light intensity and spectrum are important.Getting things like calcium and the trace elements balance is important and I change approx 25 gallons weekly, well my son does that for me. |

Sweet tank Padi!
I've got a 105 gallon reef tank that's been up for a little over 2 years. It was looking awesome until I moved it from one house to another (only 1 mile away). Now I'm having a fierce battle with algae. It's mostly LPS & softies now. I lost a few pieces from the algae....mostly my SPS. The only SPS that survived was my big ole Hydnophora. |

Amazing pics Padi. How about one general shot to show the size of it in the room?
I have a tank in my backyard, it's about 73,000 litres and I go through a few chlorine pucks a week, sometimes some pH- to keep the levels in check. Of course the only fish in it is a battery powered one that my daughter plays with. |
