AP 15400 Question
Hi Guys,
I just bought the silver dial AP RO 15400 from Switzerland, although at a higher price compared to other countries including mine, but since its not available in my local AD decided to get it while im on vacation there. I noticed after inspecting it at home, it has a few hairline scratches at the caseback, I thought that since its in Switzerland, the handling/shipping could minimized these kinds of things. I know over time It will accumulate scratches from daily wear, but kind of annoyed that other people scratched it first. aside from these, the watch is in great shape, keeps good time +3secs. I wonder any of you guys experience getting a brandnew watch with these kinds of issues, or should I be worried that the watch was mishandled.. Thanks! |

Seems like a shame. And I feel your discontent. However.
Just think you might of done it sooner or later anyway!!! Chin up. And enjoy it |

The hairlines are likely from the bracelet coming in contact with the caseback. No biggie. Enjoy your new Oak!! It's a great watch!

Yup thats what I thought was the cause. As I remember the AD said the watch just recently been brought to the shop. only inspected the dial at close, making sure no foreign objects are present, misaligned hands etc..forgot to check the caseback though...anyway, Like I said this will happen sooner or later, just a bit of annoyed that Im not the one who scratched it first.
But in fairness, overall its indeed a great watch :) |

I have a 15400 but don't recall the bracelet could touch the case back.

Indeed the bracelet can touch the case back. Very clumsy for them to scratched it this way. Luckily it's not visible when worn. And I'm afraid to touched it up because of the circular pattern.
Already informed the AD re the issue. Just so they know. |
