I wouldn't stress the removal of the stickers but I can see your point if you wanted to be the one to actually remove them. Would not keep them on the watch while wearing however...enjoy the watch!

Hey Chuck, is that why the "lightly worn" watch I bought from you looked like this one when it arrived?

Agree completely. AD employees are low wage, mediocre I.Q. At best for the most part with some smart attitude as well sometimes. I'd complain about it.
Try to sell a Rolex "fully stickered" and another BNIB not stickered and see what the TRF sellers offer you for each!!!

I just got a sweet 55 inch smart TV Samsung 3D/HD 1080p...

Ripped the stickers off within 5 moments of setting it up.

Wow. With that kind of attitude and generalization, good luck building a good and long lasting relationship with an AD.

I think no matter what we wear, either bracelet or watch, no matter what, will end up with scratches. :-) I say that with a smiley face because WILL happen no matter what…we get em, deal with em and move on. NOW…with OCD..is a different story… so if you have OCD..then put tape on place or the plastic protection the detailers use on cars….either way, do what you need to do. ;-) Im sorry to say, I have NOT read the entire thread. I am too disappointed that in retrospect, my AD took off the stickers. I had no need to keep them, just keep the experience in my memories that I had removed them. I would have liked to remove them (retrospectically )…but since didn't not happen to me…Either way…I will move on…but I would love to have an excelsior about..LOL

How did I miss this gem?

Here's the deal - I have had OCD/anxiety all my life. And (assuming you do, in fact, have it) there's a point at which you have to recognize that you're the one with the problem and you need to be reasonable. The world isn't going to anticipate each moment where you might possibly get obsessive-compulsive. Do yourself a favor and let it go. And if it still festers, go get evaluated. SSRIs can be your friend.

I'm not writing this with any malice or attitude. I'm one who has discovered that life is a great place once you get your brain chemistry corrected.

Lol i have moved on, i was more interested in common opinions than actually having a serious OCD problem. If it was that terrible a problem I would've done something drastic about it. One poster made a good point however that IF I had decided to sell the watch tthose measly pieces of plastic do make a difference as it shows there had been great care and it's condition is less worn out than if I had no plastic on it.

Thanks for the advice however...severe anxiety and depression runs in my father's family.. So if I have a mild form it is most likely hereditary.

Interesting. The AD where I purchased my watch actually insisted on not removing the stickers. They said I should wear my watch with the stickers on until it gradually falls out lol.

Hi Scorpy,

Well you put up the $$'s and IMO the AD had no right to remove YOUR stickers.

I have bought a few new ones and have removed MY stickers in my own time.

I think I still have one case sticker on the side of my LV its the one with the bar code on it - so what. I don't think anyone around me is remotely interested.

Stamp your feet and make them give you a new one mate.

Stand up for the sticker boys.

FFS. They are only stickers. Some people need to get out more often.

My AD asked if I wanted them to remove the stickers or whether I would rather do it myself, she said lots of customers prefer to do it themselves.

I asked her to remove them wthout giving it a second thought, largely because i realy don't cafe, but also because I am basically lazy.

And for anyone who thinks that those bothered by the AD removing their stickers are a bit sad and need to get out more...it's worth remembering that we all have our little ways...next time you're down the pub, try announcing that you belong to an online forum where you have lot's of 'internet friends' and all you talk about is watches...good luck!
