any Root beer shots on leather?

When I went in to get my newly acquired Daytona fitted, I took my old GMT 1675 TT root beer in to have Giovanni give me some advice on my gorgeous, but on-it's-last-leg Oyster two-toned bracelet.

<all praise to Giovanni and the crew at RASC in SF>

He started looking at it...found a few links that were clearly on their last leg... and said not to wear it anymore

Then explained the Rolex replacement price would be about $3K. Ugh...

I've looked online - found some that seem to be lower, $1500-$2000 range - but he pointed out the problem with the original bracelet is somewhat in the design...and they just wear out with age (making the concept of replacing it with a different original seem a bit risky...esp for the $).

I love some of these slightly weathered leather straps...just wondering if anyone had some good GMT RootBeer pictures.

thanks

doug

Here's a not so good shot of the Only TT Rolex that I've ever owned. I did by a TT Jubilee bracelet for it and ultimately sold it. The strap is South African Elephant hide.

thanks...I was struggling trying to visualize...the deep rich leather really does look sharp.
