Does the pearl go like this with age .

Like all things Rolex - be careful with pearls ....

Yes, genuine pearls do age to anything from a creamy white to a rich, dark caramel.
The right pearl really adds something to a vintage Rolex too.

Sadly though, while the genuine vintage pearls fetch big buck, fakes also abound.
An eBay seller was peddling a line of 'vintage' pearls a year or two back that IMHO were a splendid facsimile of the real thing
