Help With Identification

I have a Ladies Rolex Watch with the following details:

On the inside of the back plate it has the numbers: 6517
I have not removed the strap to get the other numbers near the lugs.

It has all the correct Rolex information at the top of the dial.
Swiss Made right under the number 6

BUT it also has Tiffany & Co just below the center of the dial with all the other relevant information for the Rolex Dial.

Rolex, Oyster, Perpetual, Date Just.

Sounds like a TT early DJ pre 57

Yes pictures are required.

It's a 6517 DJ. The co-branded T&Co dials are hard to prove without the original paperwork

What surprises me is that you've managed to get the caseback off but not the bracelet?

I have not left I am looking after my grand daughter.While her mother has another baby today. So sorry if I was not here to reply.

I have not removed the bracelet simply because I really did not want to. I can do if I need to get the other numbers.

That happens so often sadly.

To the OP: google will tell you as much about your watch as we can without photos and serial numbers. With this sort of thing, good quality photos and as much information as possible is key. You go through the trouble of removing the case back but don't remove the bracelet to give us the serial. Sadly we aren't clairvoyant and can't see the watch in our heads.

Here is the full story and as I have already stated I will upload pictures and any other relevant information tomorrow as it is a busy night for me.

But first of I never removed the back plate it was already lose so was easy to remove. I can and will remove the bracelet tomorrow to get other numbers. As per my earlier reply busy with 3 year old at present.

I bought 1000 watches a while back and have been slowly going through them. I had various brands and around 12 Rolex watches in the batch. It was easy to right 11 of them off as fakes. But this one I have been told is 100% genuine and my investigations also support that, but they could not give me anymore information on it. Some have said it was made to be sold for the USA market and some have said other things. I found this forum and came here for help.

Once I get the pictures sorted out I am sure you guys would be able to tell me right away.

Once we see a picture of it and the serial # I'm sure we'll be able to sort it out.

As for know I reserve the right to have my doubts about the authenticity.

Your best bet is to just take the watch to a Rolex AD with a watchmaker and fabricate a problem i.e. watch doesn't keep perfect time. If it is fake they will let you know.

If you were able to unscrew the back, then it should have a Rolex movement inside... There isn't any better confirmation..

If you can post pics and if you have the tool to open up the watch it would really help to make a conclusion on it.

Lugs at 6 : 2151789

With this and your previous description of the dial I dare to say it's fake or at least the dial has been replaced.

THe watch is authentic Rolex with an aftermarket dial. I believe the band is authentic but it will take some info off of the clasp to determine that. Cool find.
