yachtmaster - 68623 vs 168623

I'm looking for a mid-size yachtmaster (TT) and can't find any info
about the differences between the current and older refs., 168623
vs 68623, when they changed, what the changes are, etc?
Can anyone provide?

TIA,

Jack

You might find some of the answers on Jake's Blog HERE

From what I read, the 16623 came out in 2005 in Rolesor and SS. The 116622 came out around 2012 and included a beefed up "Supercase" (thicker lugs). I assume the 116623 got the same treatment.

Doh! My apologies, I just realized you are inquiring about the midsize YM.

What little I found comes off wikipedia:

Quote:
In 1999, Rolex discontinued the model two-tone 68623, replacing it with the two-tone model 168623 in 2000. The difference between the two models are in the upgraded movement in the 168623, and the heavier 18k gold links (the links in the 68623 are hollow).
