Bluemartini Fan (Russ) & Beaumont Miller II (John) are a couple of class acts!

Bluemartini Fan (Russ) & Beaumont Miller II (John) are a couple of vintage loving class acts!

I got to know both of these guys a bit this year and have had a few small deals with both of them. We email back and forth, stay in general contact and it's to the point that I'd call both of them genuine friends.

Today while at work, I receive a delivery from a local market. John & Russ took it upon themselves to send me a bottle of wine (this bottle looks outstanding!), as a thank you for deals gone well. I was and am blown away! The sheer thoughtfulness of this gesture was so great, that I thought I would share it with my esteemed vintage forum brethren.

John & Russ, thank you! Not just for the wine and friendship but for BOTH being such valuable, contributing and helpful members of this forum we love so much.

Happy New Year All

Nathaniel, enjoy the wine my friend.

The watches are initially what draws people to TRF, and the friendships are the glue that keeps them coming back. Thanks for the kind words. Looking forward to seeing everyone here in 2014.

I can't speak for Russ, but John is ok I guess.

I agree about TRF and good friends (ESPECIALLY the vintage community)......it is a great place to learn, deal, and hang-out. Congrats on the wine and implied watch deals.

Well said John - it has been so rewarding to develop relationships that become solid friendships here on TRF. I thank the MODS and TRF ownership for making TRF a "safe haven" a fun place to visit and enjoy from anywhere at anytime.

you guys are making me blush

To spread the love - this is the awesome Hodinkee strap Nathaniel included as a surprise on my recent 1601 purchase from him - I just put it on my 1680 - I think it found a new home
