GMT 16750 Matte Dial?
Hey guys what do yall think of this one? Does it have a matte dial (or did the matte not have the wg surrounds)? Does crystal look original?
You can see bracelet is worn with some stretch (in fact, it is notching into itself in several spots). It is 8.6m serial. I think it might need a service (I believe last known service was back in '95). Lastly, is $6,000 a fair price for this full set? Thanks all, as always.

matte dials do not have the WG surrounds as you stated...as far as $6k for a full set...that isn't the best deal you can find..

No WG on matte dials - this one is gloss. Insert and crystal probably replaced in service. 86++++ serial is around 1985, as you say, and as per the papers shown, so dial could be original/early gloss version, although dial and hands look very white. Bracelet is shot. I think 6k is a lot, even for a full set.

Looks like the glossy dial with the gold surround markers. The matte dial preceded the one in your photo. In my opinion, $6,000 is not over-priced for a nice watch that is a complete set. Actually, whether a matte dial or gloss dial 16750, complete sets are not easy to find.

I would ask for better pictures, specifically the case and the stretch on the band. Those pics make the bracelet look like there is quite a bit of space between the links.
Also ask about the service history. |

Last 2 16750 gloss full sets I saw on the sale boards were $5150 and $5350. They were posted as sold almost immediately.

Gloss 8.6 mil wg surrounds. bracelet in need of re conditioning. these full box and papers sets are rising in price at this time. Matter of how bad you want it and how long you can wait :-) for a perfect piece with no issues. M

I think it is too much 6000 for this watch, regardless of paper, etc.. Believe that you can find cheaper, but then without, box, papers, etc. .. 6000 + service there will surely be 6700. also I do not like, when they're shooting a picture on the clock, also HIDE text with hands .........

Regarding service history, the last time he knows of service was in '95 at "Walter Gooden jeweler in Los Angeles off of Bundy Dr.". Thought that was a cool bit of info; anybody heard of the place? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was finally able to meet the seller. Watch comes with box and warranty card, no books or hang tags. Watch has some flaws. As the buyer and knowing the watch works fine but that it is due for a service, would this lead you to keep looking, or would a price adjustment make up for lack of service?
